If you watched the stream last Monday, you probably heard me mention more than a few times that right before the stream, Flash had some stuff he wanted to show me, so we recorded a quick live episode of In the Lab. It focuses on some basics about Morrigan and Tron Bonne and She Hulk.
I tried to upload it yesterday, but when it finished uploading, youtube decided the video should play 3 times back to back for no reason, so I had to delete it and reupload, so apologies for the lateness, because I said it would be out yesterday.
Anyway, this video isn't crazy in depth yet, like most of the others. Remember, we're only a week into the game, so even basic things can be new discoveries, and even though Flash and I know these aren't the more advanced or crazy tactics/ideas, it's still something that a lot of people might not be aware of, so we decided to put it out there. Hope you all enjoy.
Looking forward to checking this out after work. Flash has developed a pretty nasty team.
Any chance Option Select is going to become a MvC3 resource like it is currently a SF4 resource?
I know Ryan was talking about expanding the site to cover MvC3, but I'm unaware of how or when he is going to implement it. Stay tuned!
I've actually dropped She Hulk and I'm playing Viewtiful Joe now
that's too bad. shehulk is great fun. viewtiful joe must be alot of fun too haha. i was hoping you'd be the shehulk champion.
Tatsu is fully affected by hit stun scaling but still works even after the hit stun scaling. Also you can ground bounce twice with Haggar if you ground bounce and then combo his rapid punch hyper for another ground bounce that you can combo off of.
@A2ZOMG: Yeah, I have some ideas I'm considering for expanding the site a little. I don't really want to flesh out a strategy section completely for MvC3 like we did for SF4 because the SRK wiki is already doing a good job of that. Right now, the main thing I'm working on is making a second match video database to store MvC3 matches.
@Jamheald: Yeah, I kind of corrected myself in the video. I didn't mean the tatsu IGNORES hitstun scaling, but even at it's minimum, there's still a significant amount of hitstun.
Also you can combo after a second OTG, Doom can do S air series OTG H-S air series OTG H xx Mollecular shield xx Hyper
Yeah, because of the confusion I had about some of the elements of the game engine, I talked to Tragic, and understand it now. I made a comment on the youtube video explaining. The short version is, you can have infinite OTGs in a single combo, but some moves (like She Hulk's air d.H) OTG *AND* ground bounce. And since you can only have 1 ground bounce per combo, so even though it OTGs the second time, it can't bounce a second time, and they auto-tech out.
Makes sense. Perfect set up for air grab reset, no?
